Pre-treatment care
How do I prepare for my permanent makeup appointment?
BROWS:
NO alcohol or caffeine within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment time
NO Botox within 1 week BEFORE your appointment
NO facials, laser treatments, chemical peels, or exfoliating treatments within 4 weeks before or after your appointment
NO Retin A or retinols within 7 days of your appointment
NO Accutane within 6 months prior to your appointment
NO waxing or tweezing the brow area within 72 hours of your appointment
NO heavy sun exposure within 4 weeks prior to your appointment. We cannot work on freshly tanned or sunburnt skin!
LIPS:
Keep your lips nice and hydrated, and drink lots of water in the days leading up to your appointment.
Make a sugar scrub from 2tsp sugar and 1tsp honey to use nightly for 3 days prior to your appointment.
If you are prone to cold sores, we recommend obtaining a prescription antiviral from your physician for 5 days of medication to suppress a breakout for this service.
We cannot work on overly dry or cracked lips, so great pre-care is KEY to the best healed result!
EYES:
NO eye makeup for 24 hours prior to your service
NO botox within 1 week before your appointment
NO Accutane within 6 months prior
NO Retin A or retinoids within 7 days of the procedure
If you normally wear contact lenses, bring glasses to your service as well as a case for your contacts, as you will not be able to put them in for the remainder of the day post-procedure.
NO Latisse or lash growth serums for at least 4 weeks prior to your eyeliner appointment.
